To get to Rancho Cordova, there are some options to get there via public transport:

Train: The Mather Field/Mills and Butterfield train stations on the Gold Line are the closest (around 1.5 miles away: there is a shuttle bus via route 78) and goes from the downtown Amtrak station (westbound) to Folsom (eastbound).

Bus: Several routes are available at your disposal, like the 78, 72, 21, 75, and even the E19 if you are commuting from South Sac/Elk Grove (although you will have to find something to do in between: the last bus drops off at 7:50 AM and the library opens at 10 AM).
